I see people all the time in LA with their phone up to their ear!

    No hands free.

At night you can spot a texter from a quarter mile away as the inside of their car, and especially the driver's face is lit up like a religious miracle.

Love driving at night in the summer and a minivan full of kids passes me.
Looks like a van full of little ghosts because all the kids in the back are playing on their phones lol

It's your insurance cost that will go sky high if you get a ticket and possibly not able to get insurance anymore. That's the part most people will not realize.

When it was legal people would have the phone on the steering wheel as they texted, now it's in their laps.
The law has actually made it more unsafe.
You'll never stop them from texting until you pry it from their cold dead hands.

I have seen a motorcycle cop in Orlando riding in between slow moving traffic on I 4 looking into each car he passed, presumably checking for testers. A friend who works highway patrol in NYC says he does the same thing on days he is on a bike.

I keep telling him to get an undercover tractor as I usually stop counting after I hit 30 phone holders within the first couple hours driving.

Couldn't agree more that car drivers should be fined the same as truckers for the offense.

The text or phone call can wait. If they choose not to respond to you when it's safe to do so, then that person's probably sleeping and no longer worthy of being contacted. NEXT!!!

That's one text I wouldn't reply to even if safely parked and legally able to.
