Thats when you get the jockey to yank it out far enough AND while its still in the air with the weight of it, you crank the legs down enough to raise the legs when you get under it.

@Friday..another interesting thing I noticed in your pic was the all position tires on your drives.
Fine for spring/summer wouldn't want them on with winter coming. -
Tag axle. They won't put anything but used trailer tires on there. But I completely agree with you
-
-
I love my tag axle. Love how even with a little bit of rain and some weight in the back the tires start slip going up a slight uphill...love it! Lol
I finally got new 5 and 6 tires put on. Only took 3 times in the shop for them to do it.
I guess whan you lose 30 psi from one day to the next that'll do it hahaFriday Thanks this. -
I might or might not be contemplating getting road service on the 3 remaining used trailer tires before winter starts. Of course I would have to run over bolts to get flat tires somehow. Wouldn't that just be terrible.
Seriously though. I can't get OC shops to put new tires on there. Had all 4 replaced 10k miles ago. Do those tires look like they're a month old? Ugh.
And how about bobtailing in rain and getting hard brakes from trying to go uphill? Hard brakes that stay on record and require explaining why I was trying to drive up that hill.
I love my tag axle too as you can tellAM14 and Collosus76 Thank this. -
Y'all need couples counseling I see.
91B20H8, Friday and Collosus76 Thank this. -
Go to a Goodyear shop. Tell them you need one tire replaced and they'll end up replacing all of them...
-
they will replace it or them with trailer tires.
my previous truck was not a tag axle , had a flat lro drive and he put a trailer
tire on but swapped positions to have it on lri position. -
Road service would just replace them with trailer tires anyway. Then once you got to a Schneider shop for a PM,they'd steal it and replace it with a tire that is just barely better than the one you blew.
When it comes to tires, I think Schneider is the biggest hypocrits. In orientation I remember they kept telling us that Schneider standards for tread depth was greater than DOT minimums. I can't remember the numbers exactly but each type of tire was at least a few 32nd's greater than DOT. My 2nd tractor had 8 bald all position tires no tag axle. 2 were under 2/32" and the other 6 were just at the line. New driver, beginning of winter and when I asked to have them replaced, they only put on 2 used tires one with a bubble in the sidewall that had to get replaced again.
With the tire problems and needing a full bank of batteries replaced, that truck was in the shop 3 times before I even left Obetz after moving into the truck and I still had bad tires. Seriously, just go to Wingfoot.
