They need to make it harder to get a cdl and close down all the companies schools
13gearshowlin, S M D and Lepton1 Thank this. -
I agree make commodities more expensive because they are rarer to come by.
Less truckers= less commodities.TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this. -
The guy is 64yrs old, should he be driving a CMV?
-
Well the problem is this driver was 64 years old so he may have been driving before driving schools existed.

Either way he's done. Indiana State Police are going to make a example out of him,I guarantee it.NavigatorWife, tucker and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
Not if he passed CDL requirements which takes me back to the other post
-
Funny thing is the insurance companies seem to think you young drivers are more accident prone than us experienced drivers. I am just turning 60 i have been driving a big truck since 93 and i plan on driving untill about 70 maybe longer.
Bean Jr., NavigatorWife, free spirited1 and 4 others Thank this. -
Not saying it's age it's the CDL process and renewal is too easyG13Tomcat Thanks this.

I am getting my CDL soon... but I agree. CDL age requirement should be raised, too many immature adults nowadays.
Also, I went through some of the construction in Indianapolis in 2016, that is a dangerous setup they have.NavigatorWife, jsnell and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
That is one of the dumbest comments I have seen on this site. Age has nothing to do with ability, just like color, race, or size. Hell, the woman driving the dump truck was 60, where do YOU decide at what age people can no longer drive a commercial motor vehicle?
Met a young man a couple of years ago that had been driving since he was 18 and his whole life was spent in a log truck. He was 83 and still driving. His dad drove until he was 92.NavigatorWife, free spirited1, mp4694330 and 9 others Thank this.
