I'm happy here, but I run local in Chicagoland
Don't know too much about the otr/regional.
Any questions? -
Do they pay local guys buy the hour or % pay. What type of schedule do you work. I've been doing ltl for 20 yrs and thinking about switching if the pay and ben. are as good.
-
Hourly with ot after 8/40 and busy now.
Getting more hours than I want 60+ for the last month or so -
What schedule do most people work? Any weekends for local drivers?
-
Weekends are optional
Start times for me are 4-6am and work 10-12 hrs.
I've used my 16hr . exemption several times not forced just things happen.
Some guys start as early as midnight
Which terminal is thinking about. -
I believe it's in hamlet nc.
-
Have you talked with anyone over there.
I think that's the old Horizon tank lines yard
Heniff bought them out last year.
All I know about that terminal is heniff got a bunch of 379 Peterbilts and and tankers, not sure about local work there -
They had an ad for local drivers on the internet for Raleigh and in Greensboro. I thought they may have opened up a new term. But the recruiter said hamlet was the closest. Thats a little far for me. He did say if i wanted to do regional i could drive truck home but i really dont have anywhere to park it.
