Morning sir , I'm in the Asheboro area myself , not to worried here , forecast is just for heavy rain. Got some family here in from the Charleston area , brother in law said the trip up was interesting. Prayers going out to those in the coastal areas though. Be safe folks.NavigatorWife, KillingTime and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this.

Its actually contraflow. It was used in Texas on I-45 when Rita was approaching and resulted in numerous deaths of people stuck in the traffic jam.
The problem with contraflow is it makes a two lane traffic jam into a four lane jam. The problem in Texas was mostly caused by bringing the contraflow traffic back onto the same interstate. In South Carolina they should be able to scatter traffic to I-77.texasbbqbest Thanks this. -
The problem in Texas was they waited until the last minute to do it...I live in houston and saw it firsthand...better to do it early and they also had issue with inter agency communicationsaid too..NavigatorWife and texasbbqbest Thank this.

As an aside, i live in the DFW area and at almost every commercial break today, they are running the "Mrytle Beach Time" commercials. Coincidence???
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
