There's a huge thread around here about cooking in the truck with a lunch box oven.

    RedRover Thanks this.

Only time I care to see a truck stop would be to fill up with diesel. I can #### in a bag and piss in a bottle. Wheels ain't turning, I ain't earning. At Swift, I will barely earn if they are turning

Does anyone here have any info about Swift flatbed, like average length of haul, cpm for new CDL holders, average weekly mileage for people who give zero ####s about home time or sleep?

Calm down on the poo bags super trucker. Swifties do a fair amount of sitting you will have time to crap. No need to act like one of these Volvo driving Russians lol

    Ya, that was funny.

I love the 'if the wheels aren't turning, I ain't making' stuff.

RedRover, Swift pays as much as any starting company.
If you are going with Swift, why the attitude? You could always sign on with a different carrier.

    Couldn't you?

The thing is, you are bashing Swift before you even get started.
    How smart is that?
And by 'smart' I mean... Why go with Swift if you already have a grudge?

I actually don't have a choice. Criminal record chasing me down for the last 14 years. To be completely honest I am thankful they are even allowing me to come to company sponsored training. Thought for sure I was about to be heading to Carolina Cargo when Swift said my application was stuck in "Investigations" for like 3 weeks.

Truth is, they're about to pay me more than any other company would by default, simply by virtue of hiring me.

    Then why the bashing?
It really confuses me that you would talk badly about the company that is giving you a chance.

I have been here nearly 6 years.
From my experience you can do very well here - unless you get a bad DM or are a total screw up.
My mentor had 6 years in when I started, and he is still here and happy.

The job is what YOU make of it, more than any other factor.
If you go in to it with a bad attitude it will follow through to a bad outcome.
And the grass is not always greener on the other side.
