The thing I like about it is only staying out 2-3 days then back. The three people I interviewed with, regional manager, safety manager and terminal manager said they do there best to keep you loaded all the way around so you aren't sitting much or coming back empty. Sounds like I should stay loaded all the way around running regional.

They are huge on safety which is fine with me. They are on track to win their 7th Heil Award this year.

Hi Ducky, did you try getting back on at Superior? Keep us posted on how Groyendyke compares to Superior. Good Luck and Thanks

Yes I did try getting back on at Superior. Since I already had one re-hire last year when I left for a few months they said it would be really hard to get corporate to re-qualify me. They said I would have to wait a while and then it would be easier to get back on. Superior did not have any dedicated runs out of Morrow right now anyway. They lost the ones they had other than Dow and there are already drivers running that.

I figured they would say no so I was not surprised. But I am good with it. I think this regional position with Groendyke will work better for me anyway because I really need to be around the house more right now due to some personal stuff going on at home.

I'll let you know. I am hoping that is the case.

Yeah, the Winder terminal has all new Freightliners. I'll be getting one of those. There may be like one of the old Eagles there but I don't think they are running it.

Thanks. That is good to hear.

No. I didn't pursue it. I figured they probably only hired out of Alabama so it got pushed to the bottom of my list.
