Flatbed have a split axle.next time u see a flat bed trailer checkout the rear axles ,they have about 18 to 24in gap between the axles, that makes them harded to turn.U can only turn 45 degrees as opposed to 90 degree with a dry van(and pretty much and other trailer).U cant jacknife or 90 a flatbed. i didnt measure them, the point i was making is its different turning around and alley docking a flatbed than van. sorry if my measurement sucked.johndeere4020 Thanks this.
