Am I the only one who goes through maglites like they are going out of style?
Batteries seem to corrode very quickly in my maglites ruining them
Flash lights?

Had problems with that in my 3D mags, kept brushing them out, eventually theyd die. And that's changing the batteries often and using the Industrial grade Duracell's.

For me. A mag lite works just fine. I drive at night and haven't needed more. The head lamp, as suggested above, also not a bad idea. But maglite are reasonably priced, hard to break and work well.

Diesel vapors will wreck their plastic lenses.

No need to go raciest ... Kidding know that's not where you were heading.

Get a stick. Wrap a sock around it. Dip it in the diesel tanks. Use the flames to fend off homeless truckers while you get them tandems slid.

Streamlight or surefire with strobe option is my go to.

That's funny. I was also wondering what they used to do for road signs, before we had reflective material... torches?

Oh I see another old thread. My father gave me several things after he retired in 1992. One was an old flashlight that used a single AA battery. I still have that flashlight. It has to be 40 years old now. I don't use it and it is in a sack with his last logbook and old small notebook he used to keep phone numbers. I took the battery out of it of course but I am 100% sure if I put a battery i it it would work. Daddy used it more when he had to do nighttime detail work and held it in his mouth. Daddy also used a very heavy maglight type of flashlight that he used across more then one noggin with lowlifes. My oldest sister has that flashlight. I always used a Walmart special Flashlight.

Never seen one that burns gas.
I use this when the lights go out.
