I'm based out of southern Michigan and I do pretty good. I stay busy and I usually have a load booked before I'm empty. Now when you say northeast I assume you're talking New England and if that's the case I can't help you. I keep my truck in between Youngstown and Kansas City and I don't need to dip too much farther south than Nashville but going into bama and Georgia you'll find lots of freight too.

Ok thanks. I live in central Pa and I have been seeing Malone trucks pretty often.
-
Are they still leasing the gold trucks or just the quality trucks?
-
Just the gold trucks and that's a luck of the draw. I think you can still go directly to quality and lease with them but you'd have to ask quality about that. Personally I got a good strong gold truck that hasn't had any issues, knock on wood, I chose to do the gold nugget because of the warranty but if you've read this thread you know that you pay into the maintenance account and you don't keep that money at the end. There again I got very luck as my truck was $20k less than the average truck that is for lease and mine will be payed off after only 18 months which means I don't dump as much as others into the maintenance program.Lonesome Thanks this.

I worked there for a while last year but had to leave for family stuff so I'm familiar with how it works. I did good on money while I was there so I figured I would start checking things out now that I can run out again.ratherBfishn Thanks this.

Thanks I appreciate it. I have a say so in every load but have a dispatcher who books my freight.
Home until Tuesday, I've ran three full weeks for $17,300 worth of revenue.TruckerNerd, Lonesome and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
-300 for trailer rent, what else besides fuel, those aren't bad #'s. How's your glider doing? mpg's, be safe out there.
-
Trucks doing great. I pay $125 a week for plates until the $1500 is paid $68.75 until my 2290 is paid. $147 a week for cargo insurance. $100 a week for my trailer rental. And I paid $140 for my decals. And 8% of the trucks gross into a maintenance escrow.
Truck is getting about 6.25 mpg but I've ran it hard averaging 69-71 mph. Mechanically it's very sound. I am replacing the passenger side steer kingpin this week and giving it an alignment.
Other than that great.
I'd really rather just switch the name of this thread than start a new one.skinnytrucker and Lonesome Thank this. -

bigred81 and playamwj12 Thank this. -
