Hi guys,
My name is Joren, 31 years and from Belgium. For the moment I'm staying in London, ON where I've recently obtained my AZ-driverslicense and certificate. Now I'm looking for a job as longhaul driver like anywhere in Canada, just need to find companies that have LMIA's available now. Does anyone have some knowledge of this or works with a company that does? thanks
LMIA's

A friend mentioned H&R in lethbridge were advertising in the UK press this week looking for victims to take up the lmia's they currently have. McConnell in Woodstock NB allegedly have some. Never heard much good about either place but maybe they'll work for you, I'm sure there must be others around the Maritimes, I'll keep my ears open for you.Knowmad85 Thanks this.

I thought Canada has closed it doors to long haul drivers coming in from overseas
-
I must of Assumed wrong I thought the days of coming to Canada as a temporary foreign worker in the long haul trucking industry had ended 'and for companies obtaining lmia's was impossible .
-
It's not impossible but there are much tighter rules and higher costs involved now so few companies bother to stay in the program. But if someone really is determined it's still doablestacks Thanks this.

But I also assumed that since the oil sands starting slowing up that lots of Canadian drivers have gone back OTR .
-
So only H&R and possibly a few others are still able to obtain lmia's

I just saw a H & R ad in a British trucking magazine. So they are still advertising at least.
I don't know what they pay drivers, but they only offer $0.97 per mile for o/o's so it's crazy cheap there. -
Which magazine ???
