I completed their entire program which was 3 weeks, but I failed to obtain the CDL. I was given two tries to get the CDL. I passed pretrip and backing, but failed driving. (hit a curb).

I have found a friend that has agreed to let me use their truck to take the test in Georgia.

My question is, after I get my CDL, is my training at swift still valid since I technically did graduated, but just didn't get the CDL through them?

If you didn't get the CDL, I don't think you graduated. Might want to check into that.

Did you get some sort of certificate upon finishing that states you completed the 154 hour school?

No CDL, no graduation. Doesn't matter anyways. Get your CDL then get a job.

    Good advice.
Get the cdl, then there's options.
You can still say you "attended" Swift school, plus you will have a cdl.

If you still owe swift money for school, they will flat out tell any company that calls to ask them if you graduated, that you never completed he program. Even if you complete the program, obtain the CDL and work for 3-4 months before jumping ship... The head of the school in Corsicana said flat out, if you think you're coming here to go work for another company and jumping ship, I've got news for you.... We will tell them you didn't complete the program...

To them, they program isn't complete until you have paid for school.

Some companies don't care though. They'll put him through a refresher and then on the road.

I'm thinking once you get your cdl it may be smart to never mention attending anything at swift , it isn't like they have a good reputation with anyone
