I'm in the LTL business so I have several.

    1) The amount of stupid people I work with.

2)Desk jockeys who actually wonder why I can't shoehorn a 48' trailer into some peoples' driveways. Fortunately I don't pull one of those all the time.

3)People who buy flooring off the internet. They often have no idea of the logistical nightmare they are setting themselves up for, especially when a tractor-trailer can't get within 2 miles of their house.

4)QWE Logistics. They really do suck. Every shipment I get with them as the broker always says "Do not hold freight for any reason", even when it's a residentialy customer who -!!DUH!!- needs to called beforehand.

5)People who buy furniture from e-bay. You get it there and it's always "That wasn't what I ordered", or "I didn't know it was going to be THAT big." Then there's always the "Gee, how are you going to get THAT in the house?"

"Sorry, we don't do inside deliveries. You should have called a moving and storage company."

I'll think of some more later.

    :bootyshake: Yeah, okay...

Which brings up another pet peeve....people that think their actions/inactions somehow require adjustments on my part when things don't work out the way they hoped. Take the example above....YOU jumped out to pass ME and ran out of juice, all the while knowing that your truck was as slow as mine. Then why is it my duty to make adjustments for your actions/lack of thought?
Oh well, such is life huh?

Yeah I see this crap all the time, some supertrucker riding the bumper of a car for 3 miles while they pass all the slower trucks, is it really that hard to back off a couple and give that four wheeler some room. Just no need to ride their bumper, what happens if they hit the brakes for any reason??????????

You should have gone the more correct route: People whom have a holier then thou attitude and believe that their way of thinking is the only correct way and all others are invalid or who belittle others way of thinking because it conflicts with their own opinions.

Opinions are like ... well I am sure we know where I am going.

Idiots drag racing semi-trucks up hill at 40mph side-by-side.

Tucking in behind a guy running 70 because I know I can't safely pass him, then being stuck behind him as his speed slowly tapers down with me wondering what the heck is going on as he tools along left to right in HIS lane... as I pass I look over and the knob is talking on his cell-phone. (If it ain't important enough to pull over for, then call em after you get where you are going.) Everybody's driving sucks when on a cell-phone, you just don't know it because you are already doing two things at once.

people following me with their brights on...

persons curtious enough to pull forward after fueling... but then going in and showering with the rig still in the fuel lane... oh yeah, pilot in des moines... i wanted to drag the moron back into the restroom and give him a swirly... panther

picking up a trailer, hook and go, and finding the right rear outside run flat off the rim... nice post-trip there partner.

guys that realize they are in the wrong lane (talking on the cell-phone) and crossing three lanes of traffic almost clipping your bumper so they can make their exit...

following a trail of trash blowing around the freeway for 20 miles before I catch up with farmer Bill and his steakbed 1 ton, crap swirling around the bed and blowing out.

customers that order product, give a specific time (8a.m. delivery) then call the night before and want it at 6 a.m. instead. then when you show -up at 6 a.m. they hold you at the gate until 8:45a.m. because they don't have any room.

getting #####'ed out by the next customer because you are late... when the b.o.l. clearly shows you are on site 15 minutes early.

having safety send you two nasty letters for over 14 hour and 70 hour violations, when on the dates listed you were clearly at home not for a 34 but for a full 72 hours. (guy says, you sure you weren't in omaha??? actually I was, but I didn't get paid.... send me a check now please !!! oh... well after further checking our records are off kilter... you actually were at home.) *hello???*

having the shop guy tell me you can't have a hole in your radiator or have lost 3 gallons of water out on the street because if you had the truck would have shut off... its not off, not hot, I just poured three gallons in, and a puddle is forming under the rig, do you want me to drive on down the road??? or you gonna keep diagnosing what it can't be over the phone??? dill-rod... lol

and... having all this happen in one week...

seems to have just been my turn in the barrel.. lol

hmmm well once they had me and hubby driving at the same time kinda fun to think about maneuvering that...

As for the post trip i just make it a point to always pretrip a trailer before pulling it.

People that spout off rules and regulations when they have no idea or won't give a reference. You know the type, the ones that say we've been doing it that way for along time so it must be right.

What the heck, might as well add a few more....
    * Driving with the fog/driving lights on and it ain't foggy. If you're that night blind then find a parking spot before the big orange ball in the sky goes away.
    * Running your headlights and/or fog lights in a parking lot at night, especially when another driver is trying to back into a spot. Have a little courtesy about yourself and not blind the poor guy, okay?
    * Running right up 6 inches from the 4-wheeler in front of you in slow traffic. What are you stupid, or do you really think you own the road?
    * Not flashing another driver over / saying thank you when someone flashes you over.
    * The usual pee bottle / parking on the fuel island / not showering since the last election, etc.
    * Setting at the counter at a TS and spouting off stories that you know are total crap. Had a guy who drives for the same company tell me that he pulled Raton Pass with 45K in the box, and didn't drop a gear. Yeah, okay. I drive the same kind of truck you do, Bubba.
    * The nonstop spouting of stupidity on the CB. If you can't say something partially intelligent, do me a favor and don't key up.

######, IROC, you just made me realize that I'm gettin' old, because there's quite a few things that pizz me off lately.....:biggrin_25516::biggrin_25525:

What ticks me off is idiots that don't turn their lights on when its raining. If you need your wipers you need your lights. That 4 wheeler hiding back there in your tire spray is just about impossible to see.

Or the guy that tailgates you and you don't know he's back there, and about the time you want to pull out to pass, he jumps out,and you go, oh crap where did he come from. I always look for shadows, but sometimes there are none.
