Any active trainers care to share how their per-diem mileage rate is calculated? For example solo might get .14/mile as per-diem, when training would they still offer you the same deduction per mile?

Dont think per diem is any differant from solo or teams. Its an individual tax deduction

But running as a trainer you might get another 1000miles per week, I'm curious if that would be another 140/week non taxable? Or would a company reduce the per-diem rate per mile for trainers?

Current Per Diem rate is $57.00 a day regardless how any given company decides to pay it on any give day and any given way.

There are literally 100's of threads explaining how Per Diem works...search feature is top right corner of any given page on any given forum and sub forum.

Per-diem provided by a company is different, and its 63/day. But mileage based per diem is a different setup authorized by the IRS.

As of Oct 1st, 2015, the per diem is $63/day. You can deduct 80% of that or $50.40
So if you didn't claim $63 for Oct-Dec last year, you lost out

Out of those hundreds of threads there at only about 3 or 4 posts that properly explain what per diem is and how it work and they tend to get shouted down b the ignorant.
