Question for you. On the average how many hours do you have wrapped up in just the prep work until the final paint is applied. Not talking with blasting and welding stress cracks and such.
I know it has to be a bunch of long tedious hours

For truck ramps, they come to us just welded. we have to clean them up ( Chip, Grind, sand ) and paint. Truck ramps take about 6 hours for just prep and paint.

For trailers after every piece gets welded it then goes to the grinders. who essentially clean it up 90%. Then everything new gets blasted. the pieces then come to us for paint. We then clean up whatever was missed and sand it down. I would say it takes 1 9 hour day to prep and 1 day to paint. The pics i included are of a 9 axle jeep. We fit the pieces in the booth along with whatever else goes on that piece. These were all prepped in one day and primed/painted the next.

It's all in what the customer wants. The flip tail we're currently doing has been in the booth since friday. It was blasted, prepped, sanded, primed, sanded , stripe ,sand, tape. lol. today we plan on painting and clear coating it. i'll upload pics once it's done.
