The difference between you and me is you recommend training companies after cdl school graduation and I recommend "off the grid" companies that are smaller and most people haven't even heard of. Every company I recommend has accepted new cdl grads on a case by case basis, otherwise I wouldn't post them. Some new cdl grads may want a training company and some prefer the big boy outfits so they don't have to deal with the BS and small paychecks.
Bash me all you want, but my track record is proven.
Just got CDL, who do i go with?

It is not bashing when it is the truth. I actually VERY rarely post specific job advice (and there is a reason I don't do so). You just said it right here. Case by case basis. This is my point. a new driver that just got their CDLs don't need to be advised to go anywhere unless you are 100% sure they will find a spot and don't have something like a felony that could effect them. As far as your track record I see NO evidence of one. I am from Missouri when it comes to things like this. If you don't know Missouri is known as the show me state!
Edited to add: There is a HUGE difference between a driver with 12, 24 36 months experience and a driver with NONE. For the most part I have no issues with your advice to experienced drivers seeking another job that is a better fit. I actually cut and pasted one of your posts in an email about 6 weeks ago. You were spot on with that advice. However you are attempting to translate that track record with advice give to drivers with NO experience. It is this advice I am calling out. So please don't confuse the issue.Last edited: Oct 24, 2016

thinking about going with Cargo Transporters.. .41 cpm and trained 8 weeks

100% sure? This isn't rocket science. It's more like quantum physics.

No, it is not. But by 100% I mean you know for a fact said carrier is hiring in general and specifically in regard to new drivers. This is why it is almost impossible to do. When I am asked I call/email or text my contacts and ask first. Then advise based on what hiring info I get. This is why I get angry about this sometimes.

As a wise man once said... "Huh huh. Calm down, Beavis."

.41 cpm looks good on paper. How many miles are they getting. Don't they just run eastern states?
-
OTR 48 states average 2200 miles .185 cpm with trainer
Chinatown Thanks this. -
That seems ok. Maybe get some west coast runs unless they're reserved for teams.Eckman Thanks this.

There is a deeper reason I am like this. I have revealed it to only a few folks on this website and in my flesh and blood life. If you knew these things you would better understand and not make jokes about it. However I have a very thick skin and actually laughed at that comment. However the only part of this that is actually funny is the comment.
