Air valve keeps going bad

I have same problem... Check ur brake chambers one may be going bad. I replaced my Steer one and haven't had the problem yet. If it happens again truck will get all new brake chambers..

 

I just replaced my second one this year on my W900L. I'll see how long this one lasts. Like TruckerPete1990 says, if it continues, I'll replace the biscuits.

 

Is the valve new or a reman from bendix?

 

Take it apart and see if you can figure out what happened. Only four bolts hold it together and a snap ring on the bottom.

 

Thats a reman, i just replaced one from napa.

 

If it leaks again, disconnect the lines to the chambers. If the air is coming form one of the lines, that's your bad chamber. When the seal blows between the service and emergency sides of a chamber, emergency air blows through to the service line and out the exhaust port of the service relay. If that's the case, it will only leak with the spring brakes released.

 

If it's less then a year old, it should be covered under Manufacturer's Warranty.

Return it to the place you bought it from.
