Yup. Bags of cabbage suck. Much rather deal with the boxes, as long as the bottoms don't come undone. Ugh.

Man what a wild week I had, I went up and did support work at our Pottsville warehouse. My first route was a two into Manhattan both days, there was two of us on the route. The stops where super easy and so was the route, the traffic was insane. The guy I was with drove the first day then me being crazy I offered to drive the second day. What an awesome experience.

My second route I ran was another two day down to Maryland and one stop in WV. I left the yard with 1545 cases. That was a pretty straight forward route and was surprisingly easy to do.

No I wait to see the check for all my hard work.

Here is a pic down by the New York stock exchange

That's awesome. I love going down town on my Atl single day routes, just feels so BA to have a truck on those tiny roads among the sky scrapers, parking the wrong way on one way streets, driving down them the wrong way on occasion. NY is next level though.

...Until an LEO happens along while in the middle of unloading 100 cases at one place and demands that you move.

They sent you in there with a 50'? That dispatcher should be hit with something. You're WAY over-length for that area. Max in NYC is 55' bumper to bumper. Won't get hassled about it unless you do something else usually though.

As for a LEO asking you to move while unloading, I've never had it happen. Usually they quietly write you a parking ticket and stick it in the door handle. And I've been parked wrong-way on the sidewalk, on a one-way street a stone's throw from the White House at 3am...never so much as a blink from the cops, though they did drive down the street once (nowadays that'd likely be different..this was 10 years ago).

I volunteered to run equipment out of Pittsville next weekend will see if they need me. Chain ATM said imperial needs chain support soon so if they do I'll do that.

I've been parked the wrong way on a one way road for a Hooters delivery in downtown Atl and had a cop laugh at me, wave, and keep driving. Granted it was 330am and he was probably just happy I wasn't another drunk idiot he had to deal with.

Some rules can be bent, others broken.

:) nothin better than that knowing nod from a leo when you turn the wrong way down a one way and pull onto a sidewalk because its the only place your actually out of the way, and he knows it!

Used to do the old "New Yorking it" move on Clark Ave in Cleveland all the time for the beer company.

The Cleveland Police never said anything.
