My ex bought a truck and it has taken about 3 months for this to happen with no income. He has been driving the truck now for a week and is in the hole $1900. He made $4500 that week. How can he get out of the hole and bring in some money? His truck and trailer payments every month are $4200. He needs help before he loses the truck.

Why don't u have him come over here and explain what's going on, instead of you trying to fix his problems.

To start with, don't take cheap loads, also when I first started I used a factoring company, sure a lot talk bad about them but I'll sacrifice 5% of the pay to get paid in 48 hrs

He is under someone else's authority now. He has been driving for other people for over 15 years. This seemed like a good opportunity to work for himself and other people are doing it so we can't figure out why he isn't.

    To really help.
We need to know what lanes does he run? Does he have a lot of dead head miles? What freight in general is he hauling...Reefer\Van\ Flat\Tanker? How long is he sitting between loads?
These all make drastic differences in how we can respond and help.

I will try to have him come on. He isn't home now and not sure when he will be but he sucks at computers so he won't do it til he comes home.

$4200 a month? WTF - dump the truck and go back to a company job. That is a ridiculous monthly payment.

You said that he is your "Ex", so what are you worried about? He made his bed, let him lay in it. Or are you more worried about the alimony payments not coming in ?

    BoyWander and fordconvert Thank this.

She said $4500 that week. Not horrible if he's pulling a dry van. The payment is nasty

A 4200 doller a month payment isn't good in a great market and it's insane in the bad market we are in now .

fordconvert and Diesel Dave Thank this.
