stupid question before orientation

It's a legitimate question. The OP is probably unaware that, despite being an adult, trucking companies will treat him like a child.

 

That's why there is a driver shortage one of the few blue collar jobs where you cannot drink after work

 

Key part of that phrase is AFTER work.

 

At Prime they will send you home for drinking anytime during orientation. Their company, their rules.

 

Any company that wants to control a driver's personal time to that extent is not worth working for in the first place.

 

Some hotel employees are told to notify the trucking company if they see new hires drinking or find beer cans in their room or trash can. You will have to pay your own way home and still be unemployed.

 

And when you get home...
