YEEAH! Let's do it to it.
What? You scared? -

It was crazy. Suppose that was green concrete.
What was really the kicker was cars following me, monkey see monkey do.
It was one of three craziest things I ever did in this world and lived. The other two I take to the grave with me. I thought I understood crazy. But to live it? whew. I was something else back then in them days.... scary. -
Route 421 between Bristol, TN & Boone, NC.....

Saluda right? There is a steepest mainline in the USA once upon a time I think it's still there. But not in use.clausland Thanks this.

That's one bad road for sure...Good thing I was empty, slid the rears on the 48' all the way fwd, hugged the mountainside, and I was still just barely able to make the switchbacks and keep from going over the side....Good thing I didn't meet any cars on that road, wouldn't have been good...
As I was coming down into Mountain City, some gal hollered to me on the radio that she didn't see many semi's on this road, yeah go figure.....
I was young then, looked on the map and saw this as the most direct path from Bristol, where I emptied out, to Charlotte, where I was picking up my backhaul, lesson learned....x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Come to Colorado. Place called Lookout pass. 14000 some odd feet. There is a point on that two laner where you are just about hanging your right steer over 3000 feet of empty valley during a turn.Cottonmouth85 Thanks this.

Had a regular haul that took me down Hwy 56 into Alabama. It's a fun way to drop down the side of Monteagle.

I never considered Mt Eagle. It is however a bench mark to break in virgins new to the art of running backwards.
I point you to old fancy gap, it's a 8 ton limit now.
