I recently spent some time examining my reasons and motives for doing what I do. That's why I want a modern, comfortable, efficient AND sharp truck! Aside from brand loyalty (and the ugly dash) - this 830 ROCKS! When they get down into the 60K range I think I'll be buyin' one... :yes2557:

WOW! Those volvos sure do look nice! Its nice to see they have a built in fridge. What do those trucks weigh in comparison to a pete or freightliner?

    This is just my experience..
I had a brain fart about a year ago a wanted to try over the road. so i went with swift(i know) And in the three months i worked there i had seven different Volvo's ranging from 05 to 07, four with the Volvo engine and three with the Cummings engine. The only good thing's about these truck is the quality of the ride and the nice interior layout. Every thing else sucks! They are unreliable they are cheaply made(side note, if you ever need to change a headlights, well forget it you will have to have a special tool). They don't pull worth a darn( the other drivers referred to them as pu**y trucks..and they were right.). I have driven every type of truck except macks and i gen say with out a doubt thesse are the worst pieces of junk i have ever sat in. I choose swift because i always liked the look of the volvo's, but now i am aware thats looks mean nothing..
Right before i quit the guy who started the company bought it back, And i over heard some of the guys in the office talking about them going back to an all freightliner fleet and that the only reason that any companies went to volvo in the first place was because volvo undersold the other manufacters just so they could get there foot in the door...

Yeah they get a bar stool to sit on and a speedo since thats all they look at...... Sometimes anyway, most of them just lay a brick on the go pedal since they are governed at 60mph anyway. With a mattress made outta hay and they are ready to go! :biggrin_2559:
