Lol, you don't know the gun owners I know I guess!
No, there are a lot of gun owners that give the rest of us a bad name and image...

There is no law abiding gun owners in California giving gun rights a bad name. None.
I edited above. And I think we could agree on this.
California is terrible at enforcing gun laws. They allow gun criminals out of prison with time served in minutes. They feel it's a minority issue, not a gun issue. You want to stop gun crime in California without restricting our rights?
1st offense of crimes committed with guns, MANDITORY 10 year prison sentence, to be served in full.
They won't, because they want the gun crime to force new Laws on me and you. They also see it at a minority issue. It would incarcerate countless minorities (Latinos and African Americans).
California has enough problems coming their way with sanctuary cities and the destruction of wages brought about by illegal immigration. Gun laws should be the last thing on a Californians mind.
Believe it or not I'm not political. Not a registered republican or democrat. I reject party affiliation. I just know insanity when I see it. -
The words is "Deadly Force" it has a potential to be deadly. From certain IDF People who train here Stateside in specific classes, they have said that sometimes IDF soldiers have to shoot because the inbound threat is presented at a check point. Sometimes that round severs the artery somewhere or hits something important and ends the life (And stops the threat)
My state has a brandishing law. Thus I cannot allow anyone to see the handgun from cover unless life and death is right about now. Warning shots are considered a no no, you get jailed at a minimum usually for discharging fire arm all the way up to terroristic threatening.
Center mass is a very good place to start. Me I have a tendancy to shoot high, thus headshots. My last gas station scenario in the Shoothouse in Conway went very badly because I was going for headshots rather than center mass. The scenario would have been much better once rounds are placed center.
I for one do not want to kill or take a life. But if there is death coming it has to be done. I would rather we live in a society that does not require guns or have parasites and predators. But it's just that a wish on the wind.
Now Police are interesting. If they find out Im a licensed carry as they do sometimes, they always are curious as to what I carry or use. It's your basic colt rail gun from 99th year anniversay with the Novak Nuclear night sights installed with a wide notch in the back and a narrow post in the front. And a tripp research 9 round kit installed into a CMC +10 rounder power mag that does not fail like some other magazines. I did use a set of 5 magazines from a really really good maker Wilson. VERY quality etc. But due to a small technical issue the steel fatiqued in my gun specifically. Wilson paid me back every penny for those magazines and promised me that they will use this data gained from the returned mags to make sure they will make the necessary changes so that future mags wont fail like that again.
My next colt will likely be a WIlson. Just because of that.
The only problem with the Colt is that heat expansion makes a jam and the first sign is a very small hitch in it's natural timing as it goes back into battery after a round is sent downrange. Usually after say ... 500 rounds fired in a couple of hours. It's really hot at that point. Ive thought about sending it to Colt to have it remove material enough so that heat jams wont happen again.BUMBACLADWAR, Claysapparel and Ke6gwf Thank this. -
There no dot laws about weapons in a truck.there may be a company policy.each state can be different if you put it in the sleeper in a locked box and the ammo in a different locked box on the other side of the sleeper that is not concealed in most states your good not sure about all tho.ive done it for a lot of years.if I go in to something like a military base I tell the guard they will hold it until I leave never had any problems

Our VA hosptial has certain boards marked in ink instructions to Nurses in ER department to make sure they ask questions like are there weapons in your car? what kind of car is it? etc. Those instructions are not publicized. IN any case we are parked where the VA has no jurisdiction.
There are Vets who are lost and feel that they cannot get help, go back out and take themselves out there in the parking lot. It's breaks my heart that people are so cold in there. -
Some people confuse a carry permit with the ability to have a gun.a carry permit allows you to carry concealed.if the weapon is in your sleeper in a locked box it's not a consealed weapon
Claysapparel and x1Heavy Thank this. -
A blanket makes it one.
-
Not if you can't reach it from the driver seat it is not a consealed weapon.some people have become so afraid of the authority's they don't understand what there rights are look up what constitutes a consealed weapon if it is in your vehicle in a locked box out of the driver seat reach it is not a consealed weapon period
