This one I hae shared before but don't mind repeating.
American Eagle Milldale Ct the old 76 up there. Used to have a paved lot, then cut into the hill behind it for overflow. It's dirt in good weather and a pond mud in bad. This was back in the 90's
Pouring rain, filthy 50 degree weather etc.
Pulled in the overflow imagining a herd of wreckers pulling me out in the AM. Parked. Walking to the eat, I see Schneider pull in. His truck's language immediately told me very tired trucker. I come around to the left front as he set up to park rather badly. The space was about a good 20 foot wide.
He perked up a little bit, just a boy really having help to spot and park.
More drivers came. And more. Next thing he had 8 spotters, carefully posted on every possible corner, the tractor front corners at steer, the tractor rear corners at the drives the trailer front corners on back to the trailer rear corners etc.
Boy puffs like a peacock. NOW we are REALLY going to park!!!!.
Every where his eyes went and landed on a spotter around the truck he obediantly turned his large cabover wheel this way and that. Moved a little pulled up a little moved some more. Many more wheel turnings. Shirt starts to display heat issues even though it was 50 and raining cats and dogs.
Finally he yelled at the smiling spotters who were giving him conflicting directions.
Everyone popped him in there in 3 seconds pulled him out of there and bought him dinner. I can't remember who paid the bill, but it's way cheaper than video games, more fun too. Sorry kid, it's not about you. Wait, it is lol. One day you will do the same to someone else. Unless Robots take over... oh, robots... hmm... *Rubs hands...
Craziest OTR stories.

Got dispatched to North Carolina for Monday am delivery. Bills said Greensboro, Qualcomm said Greenville. They are only a few hours apart. Had no directions & no answer on landline phone number.
Also had trouble trying to find Buford, South Carolina IIRC. Not in atlas. Finally found Beaufort.
Claysapparel and x1Heavy Thank this. -
I stopped at an abandoned eastbound scale house near AZ/NM border on I-40 IIRC to fix trailer light issue. Parked under only working street light, took apart the box where the trailer pigtail connects. After some time, and never hearing a sound, there's an older Indian-looking man with the biggest poop-eating grin on his face about 2 feet from me. I almost had a bathroom situation on the spot. He never said a word even after I angrily told him "I have no money, I'm tired & mad, and you're not getting a ride anywhere. " He left while I scooped up my tools & drove my lights -out trailer down the road to work on them.
Claysapparel, x1Heavy and Lepton1 Thank this. -

Oh boy. Awesome. Let's say that if you stick with it long enough you will have your fill of stories. Hell Im still telling stories after 10 years...
One time dispatch gave me the third degree, hurry! Get trailer 1414 right *(&^ now. DO it. NOW. Who the eff do they think they are? Mean and cranky pushed for time I rolled into the drop yard... ran around grabbed 4141 and signed the dam thing out. A few hours down the road at top speed BEEP! What trailer do you have on? 4141 why? *Grumbles...
They had something to say about that why. UGH. Makes a man want a drink. Make that a double.Claysapparel Thanks this. -
There was a time when I had a lots o fun. I once averaged 18 mph between batesville Ar and Ft Smith by my book. Trooper laughed bout it as he wrote me a 92 in a 65 mph ticket. They was some serious trashin around going on.
