These guys? Maybe they sold the dump part of the company. They just recently posted Nov. 5. And these are the frameless Gary w gray trucks I see.bzinger Thanks this. -
Did you read the link? Maybe the fill you hang out in just caught a good deal on that green trash I linked. Or they could be picking up the slack. Idk.
-
They paint it on there more often than not
-
Yeah I read it that's pretty insane. I haven't hauled any of the trash ,just looking at options if it didn't juice my trailer up and no tarp maybe something I'm interested in. I remember year or so ago it was just paying 400 bucks to come back to virginia that's what was on the load boards anyway
-
Aww maybe they just got out of the trash biz ...my bad shack
-
There's probably something the load board isn't showing like.... 400 bucks to drive 200 miles, but you have to make the 400 bucks last all day. Say 600 miles, the 400 bucks never changed.
This is the trash business, you think general frieght is cut throat, haul the garbage thats at the bottom of the barrel. The business mentality is to keep everyone out and make sure you get all the contracts so you can control the transfer, the dump, and the rates.
In my couple of years of working for the second largest refuse hauler in the country, I watched them take down many mom and pop refuse haulers.
Lay some names for this example. I worked for company referenced as big. Big bought a company with two trucks and a pick up known as small.
The last one I saw, before quitting, after my employer bought company small, big went door to door promising to do this and they'll take all the trash you put out for say 65 bucks a month.
Well many of small's customers jumped to big. Small could no longer make any money and sold his trucks, company, customers, everything. He sold it all to big.
Big accepted and told small he can't have a trash truck, trash company or anyone in his immediate family can't have a trash company in their name ever again.
Small sold his life to big for just about $80,000.
Small was in the trash biz when his dad owned the company. Now, he has nothing but a couple years pay.
After big had small out, big sent all of small's previous customers a letter stating the rules, citing the city's refuse pick up rules. Small was doing many favors to people. When big came in, lied to get people to switch, then switch back to the way the city wants it done...... smiles were non existent to say the least.
That was the dirtiest part. All for maybe 800-1000 resi, and 500 commercial stops.Last edited: Nov 8, 2016
Reason for edit: Forgot to finish my post.SoDel, HalpinUout and bzinger Thank this. -
By me they ship in walking floors about 45 miles away. $200 a load.. But from the guys that do it "lines are so long to dump off you get 2 a day if you start early and finish late"
That stuff goes to a burner. -
200 to the company or 200 to the driver?
-
To the OO leased to the trash carrier; who charges $250 direct and provides the wagons.Blackshack46 Thanks this.
