I was involved in a accident driving a commercial vehical. I was fired from my contractor at fedex due to the accident. I was not ticketed and placed not my fault by the officer but because there were injuries and vehical was towed fedex fired me.
I am having a hard time finding a company i been driving more then 1 year and this is the only problem i have ran into.
The injury was "whip lash" and again i did not get a ticket.
This is the only thing on my dmv report the last 3 years.
Any suggestions? ?
Thanks
Need some advice.

What's happening here is companies see the terminaation and accident on your DAC they're going to assume you're the blame even if you wasn't issued a ticket. That's what I think
anyway. This industry is very one sided and unforgiving.Rusty Trawler Thanks this. -
Yeah, very one sided for sure I applied at a few places and got denied before I even told them my name. Lol, I'm trying though I got approved at one company so far and that is trans am.. I herd terrible stories about them so hoping I can find else where. -
How long did it take for transom to approve you? Some companies dont do any real digging on the drivers record till he or she is brought into orientation.
-
I asked the recruiter if there was any chance of me coming to orientation and being sent up due to the accident and she said in unless I fail drug test or road test. -
China will be along shortly to give you a list. In the meantime, because it does matter, what type of wreck? There are a few that make looking difficult, like rollovers, or getting hit doing a U-turn and such. Also, what kind of experience do you have? Have you been driving CMV for 3 months, or 10 years? And even with "career ending wreck" you can typically find work, just takes a bit longer and may not be the most desirable company to work for.

A car was in the wrong lane in a accident scene cut me off and made it 2 accident scenes. I guess you call it a rear end accident almost. I won't call it that.
I have 1 year 5 months experience -
Try PI&I Motor Express.
TransAm is better than no job though.
Big-M Transportation
Abilene Motor ExpressTrucker42BC and CrappieJunkie Thank this. -
Don't be quick to believe recruiters. You should call the safety department.Tell them what happened because they will find out and chances are the first day of orientation. There's all different kinds of accidents and no company will leave it at just an accident.Rusty Trawler Thanks this.

I just talked to my former contractor. We are very close and he told me that if any compaines call him asking for employment verification that he will say that I did not get fired do to the accident that I asked if we could go separate ways and that I needed some time off. To take care of personal things at the time....
Its been 2 months since the accident.Last edited: Nov 14, 2016
