I heard it will cost like 200 billion to build the wall. Also, those jobs that left will never come back. It's a race to the bottom.

 

1. Executive orders are not laws which is what an amendment addresses....a law. Any "amendment" (another word for "change") to an Executive Order can only come from the Oval Office, not Congress.
2. Since NAFTA is an EO, not a Treaty, Congress has no authority on any aspect of the order.

 

The only hope is to make the usa a competitive place to do business again. That 35% tax is huge, Canada is 15% and Mexico I believe 12.5%. Couple that with seemingly endless regulation, retarded lawsuits, who would want to open a company there? Trump is the best bet to at least begin the restoration of America.

He is not going to rip up nafta. He isn't that stupid. Some parts may be renegotiated, but by and large trade will remain the same. Trade wars only create losers. It only works when you do it to punish a nation, take north Korea for example.

 

He's already crabwalking on several things he promised while campaigning.
