Everyone do what Nancy Reagan suggested. Just say no to mega trucking.

I was going to get a truck and go back to pulling for my guy here in Phoenix, which is micro or mini trucking, maybe just trucking, cause he said he could get me by the house every other day. Even that is real risky business with Dad, I mean he's sitting in the waiting room after dialysis bleeding like a stuck pig, just BS'n away, and doesn't even know it. Yea Tide didn't get that stain out.
    SO ANYWAY
I call him, tell him I'm coming, I've kept in touch with him, sent him pics of all the Schneider calamities to have a good laugh, and he asks what about my Dad.
I say I gotta start doing something, cause I'm just spending too much money, and I don't want my skill level to deteriorate to nothing either.
He puts me on local, company driver, home every night.
    SO
After I kiss him I tell him what a GIANT ERECTION he is for making me do 5 months at the MF mega where my " business leader " , Oh Lord Jesus Christ how I loved that punk having that title, doesn't even know the difference between the steering wheel & the fifth wheel.

Just say no to mega's everyone. Just say no.

Oh it's hourly, nothing to write home about, but more than I was making at punishment mega international.

I've been telling this for a long time, they are killing this business for good.
Even the broker side, ch robinson is doing the same thing. Killing the rates by getting greedy more and more.
Small businesses is the backbone of the economy and we all should support our local businesses. This corporate greed is making this country suffer.
Working for those megas $700 a week paycheck is very common and it is not acceptable.
I have too much to say but too sleepy to write. Good luck to you all.

It's a beautiful day to just say no to mega carriers.
I made about $350 yesterday at my local company micro carrier.
Going crawl in the sleeper and take lil' nap here in a minute ( on the clock ).

    Just say no folks.

If he offers subsidized health insurance I'd go kiss the ring and say spank you very much.

That sounds almost exactly like what my little company pays their local drivers. $20/hr straight time and $30/hr after 8. And they work some pretty crazy stupid hours sometimes so they do alright. He takes ~$170 a month for health insurance for single people and eats the rest. I know BlueCross just jacked the rates up to $461 per person, the little con-artists. If I had to pay $400-500 a month out of pocket I'd probably just go without and pay the extortion fee.
