If anything is on your MVR put it on your job application because the company you apply with will find out anyway. Don't add information that isn't asked for, such as the other accident at the scene that you weren't involved in.

Leaving at 3am on a flight to Kansas city, going to TransAm hopefully working there for a few months will let other conpaines consider me.

It amazes me how 1 accident can screw your career all up.

You could try talking to a manager in person when you turn in an application (if it's a local job) and explain your situation. Are you around an agricultural community? Usually a lot of small ag trucking company's are always looking for drivers. It's better then nothing and could get you more experience till you get the job you really want.

Good luck and plan your next move. We do what we have to do. I've worked for much worse than TransAm. Friend of mine worked there 2 yrs. and liked it; only reason he left is because his wife pressured him to get a local job.

    Hey,

Little update today at orientation they pushed really hard for the lease. I just ignored it all. They gave us a sheet with fixed cost and what not and I got curious and all math I did with the pay rate it is almost impossible to make that lease work. I won't even consider it give me 3 to 6 months here ill be back at Fedex I hope man I hope they let me back.. Lol

I mean there are people here that think that lease is the way to go. I just take a deep breathl and shake my head.

    Use your head people.
    Think before you act.
    Do the #### math.

    Chinatown Thanks this.

One of the things I did like about Swift... The sales pitch was basically "We offer a Lease-Purchase. If you want more info I have a number you can call." So not pushing it at all. Even as a company driver, while there were all sorts of posters in the terminals I don't remember any office people pushing lease. Other drivers did, which I still don't understand, but whatever.. :)
