I just bought an older utility flatbed trailer. I soaked it with pb blaster and repaired the air lines. The wheels are locked. I think the shoes have rusted to the hubs. Any suggestions to break them free?

With your truck hooked to the trailer, put a chain between the duals loop the chain through the slot in the wheel. run the chain to the back, use another truck to pull like _ _ _ _.

Got the gladhands hooked up properly? Hook them up backwards and they probably won't release. Also ran into an issue on a truck once where the actual clevis pin had seized solid to the slack adjuster and the brakes wouldn't release.

I usually back off the slacks, if the don't move "persuad" them a little. At least that way you know it's not the cams holding the shoes tight.PeteyFixAll, AModelCat and MJ1657 Thank this.

That was my first experience with an Allison auto. Jumped in the truck to drive it into the shop for a service and dragged the front left wheels 50 feet along the pavement lol.PeteyFixAll and johndeere4020 Thank this.
