If there is an established trucking company that doesn't have their broker license can they help another independent on his own find loads for a percent of load? Or do they need their broker license to dispatch for them.
operation question.

I think that what happens when you lease your equipment to an established carrier, you work for a percentage.
Carriers are supposed to have broker authority to broker their excess freight but, some don't. That would be your gamble though to do business with them.Road Killer and Ruthless Thank this. -
It depends on who paying who,as far as a broker license is concerned. If there looking for a load for you and booking the load on your athority and your being paid from the original source ,then your paying the carrier for a dispatcher they shouldn't need broker athority Just depends on who athority they are booking the load onRoad Killer Thanks this.

It would be booked under mine and then I would pay 5%dispatch fee and 5% for rent of their trailer

Sounds good but I don't know much about dispatch services never used one.an established carrier could work out good. I would be Leary about these guys on Craigslist wanting to dispatch .i know when I was looking for freight it can be time consuming and aggrievating for a one man show.Good luck

He's not on c list I know him

Lots of people on Facebook offer their services to dispatch.

Why are you looking for a complete stranger to book your loads and control what you make? You need to learn freight and lanes and figure out how to dispatch yourself. It's not that difficult although it may take a while to smooth off rough edges. No-one will work harder for a rate to your truck than you... guys working on percentages only give a #### about their take not your deadhead or any of that. I'm of the opinion if you need a dispatch service you ought to hang it up.

That is very true. Just surprised me seeing a post in Rate Per Mike Masters and how many people replied that they do that type of stuff.
