Is the 30 day training including orientation and trainer road time? Do you know if that is 30 days straight or are there days or a day break in there? I'll be in PA on Nov 28 if I make the Schneider choice. Looks really good, but I'm trying to sort out tanker vs flatbed in my mind. Maverick and TMC have also invited me. Looks like more driving and more work on FB for the same pay as less driving on tankers.

Yes everything is including in the 30 as far as all the training goes. There is a lot more to know dealing with tankers than fb but it's about the same to me. The training Schneider gives is some of the best i know of. You couldn't go wrong with either but I tried both and like tanker over fb but I ultimately left snbc for a local gig that have me home every night. Hope this can help

Forgot to update. But days 2-3 were basic computer test and some certifications you would need to have. Worked a bit on trip planning and map reading. Lunch was subway (every day is Subway) then went into how they want you to use the Qualcomm and finished around 6pm.

Day 4 which is Thursday was the road test for the drivers with experience. It's was a 5-10 mile test to see how you handle a loaded tanker and feeling the surge. Wasn't that bad if you didn't slam on breaks or have a hard start. After you finish if you pass they will issue all your ppe that you will need. Then it's back to the class to watch a few videos and do more trip planning and day for the experience drivers ended at 230

Day 5-6 are unload days. Friday is where you learn how to hook hoses up and pump unload. You will be given a sheet cheap as to how you are required to unload in what order you must do them. It's not bad but once you do them a while you can kinda know what's next without looking at your guide. These 2 days began the testing as to know if you can perform the job of unloading your trailer. Saturday is the same except it is air unload. Sunday was an off day to get prepared to go out with your TE on Monday and Tuesday.

I ultimately left snbc to a local job back home that pays pretty good.

My goal is to get the best pedigree for a years experience. I want a local job after a year, and I live in the west Chicago suburbs. So I have been told I can write my own check locally after a year of SNI bulk.

Go tanker, even if you don't choose Schneider. Best decision I ever made. The 30 days is an estimate but it's usually pretty close. You will be on the road in winter and who knows what can happen then. When I trained for Schneider my student and I got caught in a bad ice storm that added a week on to his training. It all depends on you really. How quickly do you pick up the system, the driving etc. Don't fret if it takes longer. Schneider has really good training, you will do fine I'm sure.

Schneider was a great company and I enjoyed working there. If they would either change their dispatch system or increase the pay I would probably go back.

I'm actually kind of curious now that the choice board is setup for IC's, what kind of rates they're offering.
