LOL, exactly!
Grime, duct tape and a small prayer held them together.
I had a tail light out once, went to the shop and he pulled out left trailer brake light. Then he continued to pull out a huge birds/mouse nest lol.
Sorry to jack up this thread.

Well, the stories they will sing and the jokes made on the famous door man. Welcome.
With that said... Ive seen far worse related to trailer doors. One driver used string and twine to try and tie his falling down doors at the dock in Yuma Az once. Never mind the temperature compromised load. THAT was a show. I forget exactly the name of that shipper but it's a large yard that we all gather to load.
Your trainer is no help. For us to tell you what's what related to the structural challenges of trucking such as the twist on the box and your trainer refused to teach you... well I have a problem with trainer. But will leave it for another time.Ketchikan baby, Quackers, MidWest_MacDaddy and 2 others Thank this. -
Okay @bearsalad, here's a potential solution for future reference. Many dry vans are ultralight, meaning they are flimsy. If you park on even a slight side hill you often can't close the doors, because the walls of the trailer aren't square. Move to a spot that is level and you can close the doors easily.

You should see some of the vanes that go around the doors after they are closed. Folding paper if you ask me.

I'm not as pissed off at "the trainer" so much as I am those in the crowd of about 10 who were watching and presumably getting a few laughs. That's wrong on so many levels. It's no wonder so many new drivers get frustrated and quit trucking, given the level of stupid of many of the more experienced drivers who can't offer simple advice to someone who might be accepting of advice.

Sledge Hammer..,
Not a big one... just hit that ##### just right...... -
If you tear the doors off leaving the dock you don't have to worry about closing them.
I'm just sayin'...Toomanybikes, MidWest_MacDaddy and RedRover Thank this. -
Next time your "trainer" won't help you figure something out, just slip him a 5 dollar bill, he'll jump right out of the sleeper to help you.
It might cost you 10 if you can't figure out how to turn the jakes on while screaming down a 6% grade fully loadedMidWest_MacDaddy and RedRover Thank this. -
