I assumed the OP was now solo. So the trainer dropped the ball as well as a group of people on the scene were butt-holes, too

Do you talk in the third person in real life too? Just wondering, that would be interesting to have a conversation with you and you. Lol

    TripleSix nailed it.

You can't tell from the original post exactly how the trainer told the OP to figure it out for himself. Maybe it was about time the OP started figuring things out and the trainer was tired of spoon-feeding his student. Or not. As I said, you can't tell from the post and you don't know what went on between them before.

But everyone wants to blame the trainer -- that's common enough at TTR when people take students' posts at face value, though one thing we don't see much of here is students accepting their own responsibility to learn. Newbies aren't empty jars into which trainers pour easy knowledge. Trainers are "good" and "bad" (whatever those words mean in this context). So are students.

Meanwhile, the OP found time to post that he couldn't figure it out! And then that he had figured it out. Good, but really? How does whining because something is hard solve a problem? Closing a van door is nothing compared to, say, backing into a tight dock like this: . Curling up and crying won't get the trailer to the dock. "It's a poor carpenter who blames his tools or his training."

Whatever. Now the OP knows how to close the doors, BECAUSE HE FIGURED IT OUT. I hope the lessons to come won't be as difficult for him.

This is a bit harsh, but there's a kernel of truth in it:

I can't believe we have 6 pages of posts on "how to close a trailer door"!!! I don't mean to be rude, or judgemental or anything like that. I just didn't even think closing a trailer door could stump someone. I mean, we all have hutches and cabinets at home- it's one of 2 options, either left over right or right over left. If you're that confused, try both. One will eventually work. 15 seconds, problem solved.

This HAS to be a troll post

I can't tell how many guys try to close my trailer doors when we are finished loading on the farm. 9 / 10 times, the trailer is crooked, and they won't close. These aren't shelter babies, these are guys that work for a living. A simple "hang on, she's gotta sit square" is not only appropriate, it's professional.

Saying "figure it out" is just unprofessional wanker posturing.

If you read the post from the OP later in the thread he said the left door had to close first. Had nothing to do with the trailer being level or not. If something that simple stumps you then you need to flip burgers.
