That's pretty sweet. Been looking for a similar setup as I bought a winder but cant use it pulling a Conestoga. I had the same idea with the stake pocket post.

If I get a chance tomorrow i'll take and upload a pic of an alternate tool I use for fishing chain and hanging up edge protectors instead of using a fifth wheel puller. Made out of 1/4" round stock. got a 6"x"6"x6" triangle for a handle, 4ft of round stock and bend the last 6" into a L. Its pretty light. If I had to do it over I'd probably use something a little thicker for the steel round stock.

I think with those two alterations I wouldn't need to screw it to the rail.SidewaysBentHalo, street beater, johndeere4020 and 1 other person Thank this. -
This is the pokey grabby tool I was referring in my above post. Comes in handy for short people like myself when your at a unload and not allowed on the flatbed. The triangle helps balance and put edge protectors up. Not bad for 6 bucks.

A couple of my winches have a piece of about 3/8" round stock that's been bent into a crank handle welded right to them! Very handy! when leaving the strap on the spool, which I usually do.

Roehl update....so I asked the company to pull and close my application. I have service related PTSD and Major Depression, I am not on any meds. One of the fundamentals for me to be hired onto a company is to allow me to bring my service dog. The medical director wanted me to get releases from my VA DRs about my PTSD, treatment, etc. I see no reason why I should have to disclose such personal information since I hold a valid DOT med card, from a DR assigned by the VA.
With that said, does anyone have any suggestions on flat bedder companies that will give me an opportunity and not a "run-a-around."
