I'd like a Pete when the 13' and later become affordable. Seems like from my own personal research ( Asking anyone that will talk at shippers, etc. ) the 13' and later Cummins seem to have the bugs worked out.
But when you can't afford a tragic set back, such as where I am, I have to go with something that will get to A to B and still hammer nails.
Looks is for you rich guys.
The Cascadia's at my micro carrier all run like raped apes though. Don't know if the head wrench has them tweaked, but they are impressive. Pulling heavy too. I think they ride great. And the sleeper is enormous compared to my 670. -
My cousin is hunting and looking at pre 2000 KW's. I don't care what's been done to one, it's going be a lot of maintenance until it's almost all rebuilt. I worry about the frame saying F IT too on an older truck like that.

Good ones are out there. Just takes a little patience or luck.
tommymonza and Lepton1 Thank this. -
You can find older trucks all day long under 40k that have a rebuilt motor and transmission. Cosmetics may need work but 20k in paint and 10k for rebuilt rears and maybe another 10k to do the king pins and interior and for 80k you have a truck that is good as new for about half the price.
PouringBeard and Lepton1 Thank this. -
