This truck pulls loads grossing 300,000 lb +. The 12 speed reverse is plenty slow, I could use a lower hole in first gear though.

Another OD gear would be nice also but I could manage without it. With 5.13 gears, the truck tops out around 60 mph right now.

This picture will show you why the extra reduction was needed. Trucks was never on public roads.
This is on fairly flat ground, no rain so that in this picture surface was good. Grades reached as high as 15%. I never knew what the weight of a loaded truck was as it never went near a scale. One day they used this truck for bridge testing. As all the bridges were wooden structures, they did this by measuring the deflection in structure.
The truck was loaded with crushed gravel, weighed, then placed in the middle of the bridge. I was shocked to learn loaded it was 112000 lbs, then realized why my tire bill was so high.

We are trying to get it set up to pull a 12 line Goldhofer or a 100 ton Talbert that we are looking to buy.

The first pic is a load we hired hauled. That is a tile press weighing 265,000 lbs. Gross on that load was around 335,000.

The other pic is the truck I'm wanting to put the auxiliary in pulling a 60 ton Talbert, it's only grossing about 170,000 lbs there.

We only do short hauls, mainly from nearest rail siding or barge port to job. Usually less than 10 miles.
