The best tech I ever knew was basically a slob. He didn't do sloppy work though. His mind didn't linger on whether everything was in it's place or if there was dust on something. His personality caused some people to walk out of his shop as well. But, he was one of the best. I used to tell people, "you may not like him, but your radio will love him. So, what difference does it make if he isn't your CB good buddy?" Said all that to say, you can't always judge a book by it's cover.
Freq??

Go to Ray's (probably the address Rabbi gave you). Make sure you talk to Ray. You'll park in the McDonald's parking lot. He is across the street. You'll see him. He also is a dealer for Skip Shooter.

they sell frequency counters that plug right in to the back of most radios you can use a piece of Velcro to hold/mount it on the top of the radio.... if you wanted one and $$$ was not a big issueBout Z Thanks this.

I have a 447hpc, and the band starts at 25.615 on ch.1 band A, to 29.205 ch40 band H... D is the cb band.
They also have a jack in the back for an external counter. I would assume the hpc2's do as well, as most exports do.bored silly Thanks this. -
I dont belive Ive ever seen a 26. Being an xlr model, I assume its a 40 ch radio?
How does the chassis design compare to a 29xlr with the 858?
