No, its 8 bands, with 40 channels per band. A total of 320 channels. Your 955 should have the same freq coverage. Heres a link to the cb tricks info for the stryker 440hp. Click on 'channel chart' and there is a break down of the bands. It's in pdf format.
    http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/stryker/sr_440hp/

I should note, an antenna doesnt have the bandwidth to cover all freqs on this type of radio. If your center freq is ch 20 on band D (27.205) you can usually get by with 40 up (band E) or 40 down (band C). Your swr will raise the further you get from center freq.

I will have to dig it out and take some pics. It is a smaller chassis like a 21 but it seems to be the same circuits (front end and transmit) as the 29. I am trying to remember what controls are on it, its been a while since I had it on the air.

This morning I went to a swap, almost bought a pair of Titan IIs but there were more cbs there than there were ham radios, a very disappointing swap to say the least (not because of the cbs but because there really wasn't much there). I saw a Zenith portable radio I had stolen from under me at an estate sale, the guy was selling it for $165, and a few other things but nothing really worth the 80 mile drive. I saw a few people who are collectors like me there, one of them had some of the stuff he was trying to bargain on sold from underneath him, he said this is the second swap in a row that this has happened to him. I had it happen three times and it is very rude of the seller to do that when you plan on buying more than one item. In his case he was going to buy a CPI base and a Johnson matchbox and and some other crap, he was looking to see if the matchbox had a 110 keyer or the 12/24 volt one, when someone came up behind him, ask the prices and paid for it before he could give an offer for the stuff, he was pissed off. I had this happen with a Browning 10 meter rigs (yes browning labs made 10 meter equipment), the seller and I were working on the price, he walked away to take care of someone else then came back, someone came up next to me as I was counting my money out to make a final offer and this clown asked the price, the seller told him and he said sold, shoved the money in his hands and grabbed it. Sorry had to ##### about this, it is getting tiring between the idiots who are asking big money for junk and those are the swap being rude it gets to you.

I have a realistic trc-452, its a smaller 858 radio, It may be comparable in design to it.

Its a 40ch radio, with the old style dial.
I done a few upgrades, replaced some caps, converted it to standard 4 pin, and the blue led's give it a cool look imo. Not a power house, but its a very clean sounding radio at 10 watts pep. I like the old 858 radios. One's that havent been hacked to death are getting scarce.

I dont even bother with swaps anymore, for the reasons you just stated...

the 352/452 if slightly modified is a great radio, especially the audio.

Those are my go to radios I've used for years.

The 26 is comparable. I should have thought of this before but maybe it is the same chassis. I have to pull it out and look.

I saw a few 29's and 21's at the swap for $5 each and the guy claimed they worked.

BUT the one I got a kick out of was the 89xlr with a dial-a-watt and d104 for $165. Beat to crap with stickers on it. I've got a couple new in the box and a few more just lying around but I would never think that they would be worth more than $75 for the new ones.

There was also Uniden Dwight D for $265.

    Swaps?

I try to go to the local ones because the people I used to deal with all the time sometimes pops up, you lose track of them and then wonder what happened to them after the years. Ran into another guy who works on high level military systems, I never would have thought him smart enough to do that, but he went to school at 35 and got an engineering degree than off to more schooling at Raythion and now works at the ANG base.

I mentioned to my wife last week that I may get a table and start selling some of this stuff, she said "great I can sell things I got too" and I said no, it is a radio swap, explaining to her that I hate it when people bring crap to sell that has nothing to do with radios, like toys.
