Excuse me, but DAC/hireright is a reporting company.

I am not sure what my #25 post was a reply too. It sounds like I was trying say DAC is the only reporting company that does REPORTS. I am aware that DAC/hireright is not a carrier. To be honest I can't figure out what point I was trying to make with #25. That whole post don't make any sense now. Please don't forget I have epilepsy and sometimes have brain farts. I can't defend that post so I won't try.

Hireright is the company. DAC is a report housed by Hireright.

Thanks for the reply first of all. Here's what happened from my point of view.

I went to the Fontana terminal while under load, it was a holiday weekend, and parked the loaded trailer and detached from it. I then parked the tractor where the others are parked and started gathering up my stuff. Made a few trips to the nearby dumpster, took a shower in the drivers area and then called an Uber to the airport. The tractor was left with the keys in inside and unlocked, as there is no weekend staff at this terminal. Whoever drove the truck out of the terminal would need to show a company ID to the security guard to get out. So the truck was secured and the loaded trailer did not deliver for another 32 hours or so, which was a local live unload. Plenty of time to repower it.

I did not give any notice at all, so I'm thinking that is the reason they would never rehire me.

These two comments together on a DAC report are never good.

    Eligible for Rehire: No
Reason for Leaving: Resigned/Quit (or Driver Cancelled Lease)

It is a red flag. I picked up on it in regard to Truck/Load abandonment because of my experience with seeing this on DAC reports over the last several years. Because this subject is contentious in these forums I rather make any further comments by me to you in private. I can't tonight but if you will let me know if you want to know my feelings and advice on working through this let me know and I will contact you via private message tomorrow.

Yes it is however he is correct. This is why most of the time I tried to remember to use DAC/hireright with my comments. Sometimes I did just type DAC when referring to the company that does provide those reports. However no matter the cause I just hope the newbies know now. Hireright is the company and DAC is the report provided. I hope we got this all situated now. :laughing-guffaw:

It's like saying that your H6 is a company even though it is a report provided by a company called the DMV. I don't see how's it's splitting hairs but whatever. The point has been made on both sides.
