I often wonder if its worth the extra dollar fifty an hour to be out in the truck. Then I spend a day in the shop and I want back out again lol.

Had a truck come in the shop two winters ago, 2000 volvo w/ an N14 celect red top, it was running ice road and hit the ditch, in his attempts to try and get out he burns the clutch, this thing had so much snow packed up in the roof fairing that it rained for three days while changing the clutch,(top it off its one of those with the rear mounts on the transmission. Changed coveralls almost every break lol

    AModelCat and Oxbow Thank this.

    Hey guys. Updates.
    Am the OP.
Two mechanics suspected it to me Head Gasket. Ran the truck for a while while keeping an eye on everything. Later it started to overheat and white smoke so its head gaskets. Truck has 1.4M and rebuilt was at 1M i wonder what happened to the gasket which was replaced at the rebuilt.

Could have been a bad install. You could have blown a coolant hose and warmed it up too much at some point.

Had a gas truck doing the same. It was the head gasket. Compressed air getting in water passage. You could put air in cylinder and would make bubbles in overflow tank. Can't do that test with a diesel. I put 30k on it that way.

    Chevyho Thanks this.
