Mike, man . . . I gotta tell ya. You are an amazing history buff with a wealth of information, pics, etc.. for such a younger guy. I'm impressed. You, as well as Six, should take up writing a book (or 2!) as a hobby and a quick(er) way to retire, bro!

So today work was alright nothing either way to report there, we had the company mandatory profit sharing meeting for us "new" guys today so that's all out of the way. They basically give the history of the company and there philosophy behind the profit sharing program it is a nice program and a real good benefit, but I'm not going to bore you with the details.
Got home did about 4-5 hours worth of mortgage paper work, I'm all done now room looks like a disaster papers all over they basically pry into every nook and cranny of your life so much for privacy.
Oh well it's a pain, but that's how it goes. -
Who did?

I'm betting he is talking about the mortgage lenders. They are committing to a rather large loan, and even though it's secured, they kind of like to get a thorough financial history on the borrower.Mike2633 Thanks this.

Correct!

How does your profit sharing work? With my company being employee owned we have to wait 6 years to be 100 percent vested, each year before that jumping up 20 percent. When fully vested the company contributes on avg 16 percent of your pre-tax wages every year w/o any contribution from you.
Our pay is a little below avg for food service, I'm looking to do just over 60k a year but a few things help make up for it like cheap insurance, I pay 160 a month for the premium plan and after a year the quarterly safety bonus is 875. I was talking to a driver thats been there 17 years and he has almost 500k in the bank from our profit sharingLast edited: Dec 13, 2016
