That one is actually true...but I wouldn't do it to a modern engine. Used to be a gallon or two of regular gas in each tank would keep you from gelling up.

 

I guess it would depend on the size of the tanks, but probably closer to 75:1

There's no way I would try this today. The engines are different, the fuel is different.

 

I Was offloading a load of chip oil into spreader trucks in California. We were about 3/4 of the way done when a government pickup pulled up and the driver said you can't do that here, because there's an endangered hawk living in that tree about 200 yards down on the other side of the road. Made us stop and unhook and pick up all the hoses etc. and move to a different location to finish.

 

I have 12" speaker box under the bunk

Security guard: Wow do you have a stereo in there?

Me: Nope those are the two gorillas I keep chained in the bunk beating on the back wall....mad cause I was trying to get here and they didn't get lunch

Security guard: (Picks up phone) We don't allow pets on the site I need to call my supervisor and get permission before I can sign you in
