Any current information on DTL Transport out of Sanford, FL? These guys sound pretty fair as far as the recruiter is saying. Anybody driving for them currently?

Don't know anyone there, but have seen them all over the north and central areas of FL. Trucks always looked in good shape, and as far as I've seen, loads always well secured. Also, never seen any of them pull any stupid/jackwagon moves around me.

May not be a lot of info, but the way things are these days, not seeing any stupidity carries some weight, IMO. Hope you get what you're lookin' for.

I've been there 3 months and what a nightmare it's been.Incompetent dispatch and the equipment is worn out too.New owners have not replaced outdated equipment and the shop has 4 full time mechanics just to keep the junk running.Payroll department lost some paperwork I turned in and took 2 weeks to get paid for the work I did.Im disgusted about the whole situation and I'm looking for a New carrier to work for.Im eligible for benefits now and the cost for medical insurance is $60 a week for myself alone with a $3500 deductible.Aetna is the carrier and I think that's extremely expensive for the coverage they offer,Dental is $6.35 a week and that is steep for the package they offer.

DTL Transportation slip seats,Detention pay is almost impossible to get,You must scale every load regardless of weight and the payroll department didn't reimburse me on some scale tickets until I caught them. They lost a trip report I turned in and it took an extra week to get paid. They want you to get 50 gallons at certain truck stops so you can get to a bulk fuel stop,I had to log 3 fuel stops in one day.I was dealing with 3 different dispatchers at one point and they had no clue what was going on.I have 26 years driving experience and was making 36 cpm.Their terminal was 30 minutes from my home is the only reason I chose them,I walked away because of the chaos at DTL and low pay.

New owner is not upgrading equipment so a lot of the tractors are breaking down and most of the trailers are in bad shape too.Shop does what it can to make repairs but somethings are beyond their capabilities.

I worked for dtl transportation until January 1st 2017. I can tell you for a fact dispatchers and management at this company care more about the loads then they do you or your family. They will lie to you extensively. The reason I left was because my paycheck bounced. Along with my final paycheck after I quit. The only reason I got paid was I turn the checks over to my solicitor's office fraudulent check unit for collection and I reported dtl to the US Department of Labor. And as somebody said a few minutes ago the company was sold and their equipment is breaking down on a regular basis and not being repaired. In the last several weeks they have let go several office staff and quite a few drivers that are not running out of the Sanford Florida area. If you would like to see copies of the bounced checks I posted them on my Instagram page. roadrhymes
