The thing is that the chain restriction was only 40 or so miles and there is another storm coming so it's either chain up or wait till Friday or Saturday. I would have thrown iron but I have a gout flare up right now and that is just not going to happen.

That's a beauty. Only be sure you newbies mind to keep that trailer of yours OUT of the edges. It will fold you up faster than you can say jackknife.

Im getting ready to post data on a developing storm large enough to bury half the Nation in snow. But you fixing to get ice real soon today, roll on and do your best.

Arkansas might get some snow out of this one. And when we do, it's usually either a storm rain event or icing. That usually means a Atlantic Ice Storm.

I might chain up to get out of somewhere but I will never do it on the side of the highway again.

I am in Portland now. Can't get unloaded till tomorrow so storm or not I can't leave till then and I'm heading down to the Bay Area so here is hoping the Cascades stay dry.

Probably it is just more base stupidity than a death wish.

Lots of retired folks up there from So Cal. They move up there thinking it will be cheaper living due to no sales tax. (Then cry like babies when they see what their property taxes are.)

Ok who is ready for round 2? I'm getting ready to head out now at 4am and hopefully be done for the day when it really starts to hit. Be safe out there!

Not me, I'm heading south to the Bay Area then to Fort Worth and home to Houston for a long vacation. Heading to Europe on New Years and I can't and do not want to drive when I get there.

I dodged a huge bullet, they sent me east to Salt Lake and now up to Pocatello. I'm sure I'll get some of it but not the bulk of it. have a good vacation!

Sounds great, how long are you going to be gone? Where all are you going?
