I have a pre-hire with Swift and Im thinking this might be a good source of info for locating my future (POTENTIAL) mentor - do a personality profile before embarking on a 3-6 week bromance (j/k)

I've driven for a few OTR hours in the past 6 months (VA to NY to PA to VA) & (VA to VA BEACH to SC to VA) with an O/O to get the hang of it.

Swift claims that I will do a 3 day orientation, then go OTR.

    Why I'm I here?

I would prefer a non-smoker, non-political trainer. I know y'all getting to use me for extra $$, which is fine, but I will also pick your brain and use you for experience, so be ready to share it without stressing out.

I know that truck costs $$, so yes, I will try not to grind the gears.

13spd is highly prefered (10spd is ok tho...lol)...and please, no Auto's UNLESS its a Volvo (I have a thing for volvos)

Trainers who reside in Richmond, VA highly prefered

    I know they do...

But I'm I precluded in doing my own research?

If me and a mentor click prior to the matching, the better the experience, I suppose.

Also helps me avoid being matched with a trainer that lives outside of my area.

    Training is a 2-way street. I learn, u get paid...mutually beneficial setup.

You should ask if your future mentor is a pitcher or a catcher.

Odds are good the only peep you'll hear out of him is the snoring from behind the curtain.... Like a slumbering Wizards Of Oz.

You won't get far like that.
You need to be looking around, in the mirrors and such.
And keeping your hands in the same position all the time will bring all sorts of pain.
