For both of mine a good bit more but definitely worth it.

Check this out. Might save a life.
It could also save someone's career. Saving a hundred bucks on a pair of glasses and accidentally killing someone because I couldn't see them isn't really a bargain.

I have large melon for a head... one size fits all hats are a crock! I need a 7 /78" or bigger. To that, I have a problem finding decent shades that fit comfortably. But recently I found a pair at the Duluth Trading Co. that fit me real nice. They don't tire my ears, and they block all light incoming from the sides. They have strong frames and are polarized to boot. Not cheap at $50, but not terribly expensive either for what you get:

Times 2 on the Maui Jim for driving. You can't go wrong with the Maui Jims. I also have a set of "Persols" for my "Rico Suave" look (going out).8)

I've got a pair of Costa Del Mar that are nice glasses but they are expensive, so expensive that I trade them for a cheap pair when I'm doing much work.

What sold me on them is when a couple of buddies and I went deep sea fishing. They were both wearing Costas and I just had some cheap glasses. They kept on saying "look at that fish" and all I could see was a glare on the water. Then one of them let me try his pair on and it opened me up to a whole new world. It's hard to explain but everything looks brighter but it's easy on the eyes and you can see much clearer.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

You would be surprised what I dropped on my Oakleys. Well over $500 and definitely worth every penny.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

I had to shelve my polarized sunglasses for exactly that reason. I bought some Panama jack non-polarized at a truck stop. More than worth the $15 I paid for them.
