You will get your license, go out with a mentor for 2 weeks. You will never make more then $300 a week driving/living in a truck 7 days a week.
You will be forced to find a better job once you have some experience and go make some decent money.
And no matter how you do everything right leaving the job they will still keep your last check.
Believe everything you read about these bottom feeders. If you have to goto school through Pam/DS just pay some dues and run.

Why? What have you been doing for 5 years? Just curious.

How long were you with Pam? You HAD TO have known that training pay was gonna be $300.00 a week when you signed on right? Or are you saying you finished training, got a truck, went solo, and STILL couldn't do any better than three bills per week?

I was working off the books for a contractor. I was solo working my ### off, pay checks wouldn't crack $300 most weeks. They take $25 a week for escrow on the truck. They screwed up one of my last pay checks and it was the end of the line for me. $190 for living in a truck away from home, sorry I'm a good safe driver. Worth more then that. Kept all my escrow money and last paycheck ($800)for out of
Route miles. Aka returning the truck I drove 4 months and kept it immaculate. I knew what I was signing up for but It was worse and I just want people going the same route to expect it to be bad.

@ZVar the OP was talking about why he had no "work history" to claim when he applied to Pam, because he was working for cash with some contractor.

I have my own authority and pulled Pam Trailers for awhile. They are very low paying but they provide a good training environment for the newbies. First year 28 cents a mile solo????? I would hire someone from Pam who completed 1 year as it shows dedication. I would not recommend it because of the cheap wage. So it is a toss up. A four year college degree will put you $80,000 in debt. Pam pays you about 28,000 for one year. At the end of those times, you can get a job that pays around 75,000. So would you rather spend a year driving for Pam or 4 years doing little more then getting drunk and laid.

Told my kids you want to go to college, then go to be something! Don't just go and waste my money.
