Welcome to Trucking... However did you do any research before training as to what to expect the pay to be when becoming a truck driver? As far as what one can expect will depend on what company what type of hauling and experience... Good Luck to you..freemouthhere Thanks this. -

It's not what you will make, but what you will SPEND. That determines how much you get to keep.
Trucking is feast and famine and really bad in the wrong company of which there must be hundreds. Ive done both the newbie bit making next to nothing all the way through the possibilities such as trainer, husband wife team etc. and making too much. There are companies that see you as fresh meat, to be run to ground and disposed of when you start to complain in the first 90 days or actually have a preventable accident.
Preventables are the greatest threat to newbies in the first year. By way of DAC, PSP etc you could potentially be eliminated from the industry for certain violations a very long time or ever.
Sure to make money is nice. But you are about to embark on something greater than just making money, you will be helping to keep America rolling. Without trucks, it dies.A_C_Cooper and freemouthhere Thank this. -
