Ms/Mrs Sassy,
What do you expect to get out of this? I looked at their payscale three months ago and it said something like 5,000 miles a week paid $678.00 or some number like that.
Now think about this. What happens if your partner and you can't get 5,000 miles a week due to being broke down and once repaired and rolling you get 2400 miles for example. That's about 350.00 before taxes and any deductions such as insurance, etc.
Not to say you are, but you cannot take this business lightly. Yes, I did say business because at the end of the day, even know CRST's name is on the door of the truck and trailer, you are still managing an asset worth money, managing freight, spending the companies money and resources, so it is a business and not a job.
If all you want is a job, this might not be for you.
I'm going to school for Crst in Iowa. Need advice and info.

If you choose to go to Crst just get 3 months of experience then move on. They will say no-one will hire you but that's a huge lie. And they run expedited freight which is expensive and pay you .26 a mile so you've more than paid them back at 3 months

I would do the 3 months,Then find a company with a good reputation, someone with less than 100 trucks. You'll not only get treated better but you make more money as well, smaller companies have a tendency to appreciate you more than bigger ones They treat you more like family than a number

I just pm you if you want to talk more about it.

She asked for advice then ignored every piece of advice if the person giving it didn't like CRST. She was adamant that with god at her side she was doing the right thing and would have no problem living with CRST until her obligation was met. She has been at the training since this Monday. She has stated she hasn't taken the CDL permit test yet and is now asking for advice an a company she should go to to complete her CDL training. She did not specify why the sudden change of heart. We are waiting with bated breath for the next installment of this epic saga.
